Traditional medicines have been used for centuries for the treatment of skin disorders; birch bark topical cream, lotion and soap were explored. The purpose of this study was to explore how individuals utilize traditional birch bark extract called maskwio’mi to manage their skin condition. This qualitative study utilized semi-structured interviews to explore the perspectives of 12 people on managing skin conditions using a traditional birch bark cream. All data were collected and analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis.
