Interprofessional (IP) teams are the foundation of effective, compassionate wound care—bringing together clinicians, therapists, pharmacists, administrators, and technologists to deliver holistic care. This article extends that concept by introducing a new, non-human collaborator: artificial intelligence (AI). AI is no longer merely a tool but an active team member.—an ever-present, tireless colleague that augments human judgment, efficiency, and insight. The article highlights how AI amplifies human strengths, fosters innovation, and improves team performance—provided integration is transparent, ethical, and accountable.
