Abstract: The purpose of this article is to share a case study of a 68-year-old woman with a long-standing recurring wound which was the result of a traumatic ankle injury requiring an open reduction and fixation. This case study describes the use of a muscle pump activator (MPA) as part of the wound management strategy and its impact on wound healing.
