Abstract: Sub-epidermal moisture scanners (SEMS) have been shown to reduce healthcare-actuired pressure injuries across communities of care, including LTC. Because pressure injuries remain a concern, a QI project was implemented to decrease HAPIs in LTC in the province of British Columbia using the SEMS in conjunction with head-to-toe routine clinical skin assessments.
