Abstract: This critical review serves as the foundation for developing a step-by-step guide on wound packing techniques and dressing selection for managing deep wounds, with a focus on preventing complications and enhancing quality of life. This guide emphasizes the importance of regularly assessing and reassessing wound healing progress, selecting appropriate dressings and ensuring proper packing, followed by thorough documentation. It highlights the risks associated with improper packing.
